Observe the duration of each tick of the clock. Many people perceive the duration of the tic that occurs when the clock changes color is longer than the others. It is not!

Morse code essentially transforms language into a purely temporal code. The top player plays a traditional "SOS" composed of three short - three long - three short. The "SOS" is played at 15 words per minute (wpm). Morse code experts can understand very complex patterns played very quickly, like the sound on the bottom player ("Population Code" at 40 wpm).
